Laborelec Chile is a Laborelec’s subsidiary located in Santiago de Chile that counts with an experienced team of 7 engineers in the fields of power generation (conventional and solar) and mining industry. The local experts work in close collaboration with the Laborelec Belgium experts for enhancing and optimizing the services Laborelec provides to its customers in Latin America.

Senior Engineer with Business development skills

In order to further develop its activities in the generation and the industry sector in Latin America, Laborelec Chile is looking for a client- and solution-oriented electro-mechanical engineer or equivalent, with experience and networks in the power generation and/or big industry sector.

Responsibilities:

• Support the local management for prospecting new projects to identify good leads and translate these in offers that give a cost-effective solutions to the Laborelec customers.
• Identify, in consultation with a multidisciplinary team, the best solution to be offered to the Laborelec’s clients. You are capable to understand and translate the clients’ needs and propose them expertise and adequate technical solutions in line with the client needs.
• Establish a relationship of trust with the Laborelec customers and subcontractors.
• Manage small and medium size projects offered to power plants and industrial customers with the intention to guarantee client satisfaction and project cost/effective implementation. This include technical implementation, financial planning, monitoring and presentation of the end result.
• Develop further your competences in the required domain defined by Laborelec’s management.
• You will be located in Chile (other Latin American country could be considered), with frequent national and international (mainly Latin America) travels.

Perfil del Cargo

• Have an engineering degree or equivalent; electro-mechanical degree is desirable but not a must.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in the power generation. Knowledge in operation, maintenance or diagnostics for power plant assets is a must.
• Large Turbo-group Vibration Monitoring and Signal Processing competences are valued.
• To be customer oriented and be able to manage small/ medium projects
• To be proficient in process technology, data analysis and the information technology domain
• To be entrepreneurial and have a strong motivation for the development of new activities
• To be a team player with good communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
• Motivated to work in a multicultural environment and multidisciplinary teams;
• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English;
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point.
